Abstract
Fertilizer is one of the most important products of the agrochemical industry. Urea is a fertilizer that contains high levels of nitrogen (N) of 45% - 56%. The nitrogen element is very beneficial for plants for growth and development. The strategy is to increase efficiency by using environmentally friendly fertilizers. An innovation that can be made to increase the efficiency of fertilizer absorption and reduce environmental damage is the encapsulation process. The encapsulation method that can be used is crosslink emulsion. This method is easy and simple, and can be used for both soluble and insoluble mixtures. In determining the %Yield, the effect of 4% chitosan concentration produced the largest %yield with 97.28% and the stirring speed on the %Yield also produced 97.28% but only the oil variety had the largest %yield of 94.33% which was produced by the oil variation 300 ml. The lowest nitrate content produced by this fertilizer is 0.205 mg/L while the highest is 1.802 mg/L. The lowest nitrite content was produced from controlled release urea fertilizer which used a concentration of 3% with a release time of day 1, namely 0.002 mg/L and the highest was 0.074 mg/L. The highest content of ammonia was produced by soaking controlled release urea fertilizer with a concentration of 2% on the 30th day, it was 26.978 mg/L.
