Abstract

This thesis discusses the issue of the influence of teaching using inquiry techniques on the learning achievement of students at MTs Negeri 4 Pandeglang in the arts and culture subject of acting out musical drama scenes. This thesis starts from the problems of the influence of the teaching techniques used on student achievement, and the influence of inquiry techniques on student achievement in teaching arts and culture, when compared with lecture techniques. The aim of this thesis is to find effective techniques in teaching arts and culture subjects. The method used was a quasi-experimental method with a non-randomized pretest, posttest control group design. While the techniques are interview, observation and test techniques, the instruments are a checklist format, participation card, test questions, material sheet and test answer sheet. The research in this thesis uses inferential statistical calculations with three calculations, the first is a normality test calculation, the second is a homogeneity calculation, and the third is a two-average difference calculation. The results of the normality test calculation show that the data in the control class and experimental class are normal because X^2 count (9.7) < X^ (2) table (0.01) (11.3), and X^2 count (0, 96) < X^ (2) table (0.01) (13.3). The results of the homogeneity test calculation show that the control class variance and the experimental class variance are homogeneous at a significance level of 0.01, a 99% confidence level because calculated F < F table, or F < F 0.01 (34/34), namely 0.87 < 2, 26. The results of the calculation of the difference between two means show that the research in this thesis accepts the working hypothesis (H1) and rejects the null hypothesis (H0) because t count > than t table or t count > t 0.99 (66) explained 2.51 > 2.39, Thus the conclusion is that the influence of teaching using inquiry techniques is more effective than the influence of teaching using lecture techniques.

Additional Information: Skripsi ini membahas masalah pengaruh pengajaran yang menggunakan teknik inquiry terhadap prestasi belajar siswa MTs Negeri 4 Pandeglang dalam mata pelajaran seni budaya materi memperagakan adegan drama musikal. Skripsi ini bertitik tolak dari masalah-masalah pengaruh teknik pengajaran yang digunakan terhadap prestasi siswa, dan pengaruh teknik inquiry terhadap prestasi siswa dalam pengajaran seni budaya, apabila dibandingkan dengan teknik ceramah. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah mencari teknik yang efektif dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran seni budaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest, posttest kelompok kontrol tak acak. Sedangkan tekniknya adalah teknik wawancara, observasi, dan test (uji coba), instrumen nya adalah format checklist, kartu partisipasi, soal test, lembar materi, dan lembar jawaban test. Penelitian dalam skripsi ini menggunakan perhitungan statistik inferensial dengan tiga perhitungan, pertama perhitungan uji normalitas, kedua perhitungan homogenitas, dan yang ketiga perhitungan beda dua rata-rata. Hasil perhitungan uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data dalam kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen normal sebab X^2 hitung (9,7) < X^(2 )tabel (0,01) (11,3), dan X^2 hitung (0,96) < X^(2 )tabel (0,01) (13,3). Hasil perhitungan uji homogenitas menjunjukan bahwa variansi kelas kontrol dan variansi kelas eksperimen itu homogen dalam taraf signifikansi 0.01 taraf kepercayaan 99% sebab F hitung < F table, atau F < F 0,01 (34/34), yaitu 0,87 < 2,26. Hasil perhitungan uji beda dua rata-rata menunjukan bahwa penelitian dalam skripsi ini menerima hipotesis kerja (H1) dan menolak hipotesis nol (H0) karena t hitung > dari pada t table atau t hitung > t 0,99 (66) jelasnya 2,51 > 2,39,Dengan demikian kesimpulannya adalah pengaruh pengajaran yang menggunakan teknik inquiry lebih efektif dari pada pengaruh pengajaran yang menggunakan teknik ceramah.
