Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan menggunakan media game edukatif Microsoft PowerPoint pada anak tunagrahita ringan kelas II di SKh Alghisafa Labuan. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan permasalahan terkait kemampuan membaca pada anak tunagrahita ringan yang cenderung masih rendah. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu kurangnya variasi dan pengembangan media dalam pembelajaran yang spesifik untuk membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan subjek tunggal (single subject research) dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah anak tunagrahita ringan kelas II di SKh Alghisafa Labuan, yaitu IBR dan RH. Target behavior dalam penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan membaca permulaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan media game edukatif Microsoft PowerPoint dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak tunagrahita ringan kelas II di Skh Alghisafa Labuan. Mean level pada fase baseline 1(A-1) pada IBR sebesar 40% sedangkan pada RH sebesar 33%. Pada fase intervensi (B), mean level pada IBR sebesar 83, 5% sedangkan RH sebesar 81,75%. Pada fase baseline-2 (A2), Mean level pada IBR sebesar 83% sedangkan pada RH sebesar 71%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada fase intervensi (B) menunjukkan hasil yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan fase baseline-1 dan baseline-2. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media game edukatif Microsoft PowerPoint memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak tunagrahita ringan kelas II di SKh Alghisafa Labuan.

Additional Information: | This study aims to improve the ability to read the beginning by using game educative Microsoft PowerPoint media for children with mild intellectual disabilities class II at SKh Alghisafa Labuan. Facts in the field show problems related to reading skills in children with mild intellectual disabilities who tend to be low. One of the causes is the lack of variety and development of media in learning that is specific to beginning reading. This research uses an experimental method with a single subject (single subject research) with an A-B-A research design. The subjects in this study were grade II mild retarded children at SKh Alghisafa Labuan, namely IBR and RH. The target behavior in this study is the ability to read beginning. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the use of Microsoft PowerPoint educational game media can improve the ability to read the beginnings of grade II mild children with mild intellectual disabilities at Skh Alghisafa Labuan. The mean level in the baseline 1 phase (A-1) in IBR was 40% while in RH it was 33%. In the intervention phase (B), the mean level in IBR was 83, 5% while RH was 81.75%. In the baseline-2 phase (A2), the mean level at IBR was 83% while at RH was 71%. The results of this study indicate that the baseline-1 (Al) condition is smaller than the intervention phase (B) and the baseline-2 (A2) phase, and the baseline-2 (A2) phase is smaller than the intervention phase (B) and greater than the baseline-1 (Al) phase. This study can be concluded that the use of game educative Microsoft PowerPoint media has an influence in improving the ability to read beginning in class II mild children with mild intellectual disabilities at SKh Alghisafa Labuan. | |||||||||
