Abstract

This research on hybrid corn farming aims to determine total production costs, income per hectare per season, break-even point (BEP), and efficiency of hybrid corn farming. The research was conducted in Tinggar Village, Curug District, Serang City, Banten Province, from December 2023 to April 2024. Primary data was obtained from interviews and direct observation, while secondary data was obtained from the agricultural department and related literature. Sampling was carried out by census with 12 farmers as respondents. The research results show that the total production cost per hectare per season is IDR 12.387.730,77, with revenues of IDR 36,000,000, so the farmer's income reaches IDR 23.612.269,23. The break-even point (BEP) occurs at production of 1.444,716 kg with revenues of IDR 8.617.950,42 and a selling price of IDR 2.064,622 per kilogram. The R/C Ratio of hybrid corn farming in Tinggar Subdistrict is 2,91, which shows that this farming is efficient and worth running (R/C Ratio > 1). Based on the research results, farmers are advised to maintain efficiency levels and increase farming revenues.

Penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Tinggar, Kecamatan Curug, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten, dari Desember 2023 hingga April 2024. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara dan observasi langsung, sedangkan data sekunder dari dinas pertanian dan literatur terkait. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara sensus dengan 12 petani sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total biaya produksi per hektar per musim adalah Rp 12.387.730,77, dengan penerimaan Rp 36.000.000, sehingga pendapatan petani mencapai Rp 23.612.269,23. Titik impas (BEP) terjadi pada produksi 1.444,716 kg dengan penerimaan Rp 8.617.950,42 dan harga jual Rp 2.064,622 per kilogram. R/C Ratio usahatani jagung hibrida di Kelurahan Tinggar adalah 2,91, yang menunjukkan bahwa usahatani ini efisien dan layak diusahakan (R/C Ratio > 1). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, petani disarankan untuk mempertahankan tingkat efisiensi dan meningkatkan penerimaan usahatani.
