Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of zombie firm on corproate financialization with firm size as the control variable. The control variable is firm size which is measured by the natural logarithm of total assets. The dependent variable corporate financialization is measured by total adjusted financial assets to total assets. The independent variable is the zombie firm measured using the Interest Coverage Ratio (ICR). The population of this study in manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2018-2022. The sampling technique used in this method is purposive sampling with a total sample of 203 data. The data analysis method in this study uses multiple regression analysis with SPSSv25 software. The results of this study indicate that zombie firms have a negative effect on corproate financialization.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh zombie firm terhadap corproate financialization dengan firm size sebagai variabel kontrol. Variabel kontrol yaitu firm size yang diukur dengan logaritma natural dari total aset. Variabel dependen corporate financialization diukur dengan total aset keuangan yang disesuaikan terhadap total aset. Variabel independen yaitu zombie firm diukur dengan menggunakan Interest Coverage Ratio (ICR). Populasi penelitian ini pada perusahaan sektor manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2018-2022. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam metode ini adalah purposive sampling dengan total sampel 203 data. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan software SPSSv25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa zombie firm berpengaruh negatif terhadap corproate financialization.
