Abstract
This research aims to identify and test the influence of supervision on the performance of Civil Servants (PNS) at the Regional Development Planning Agency of Serang City. The background of the study includes weak supervision regarding employee behavior, weak sanctions imposed on employees who violate discipline, ineffectiveness of the employee attendance system, and the decline in performance realization. The theory used is the Supervision Theory from Robbins and Coulter, with indicators including setting standards, measurement, comparison, and taking action. Also the Employee Performance Theory from Bernadin and Russel is used, with parameters of size, quality, quantity, timeliness, cost-effectiveness, supervision needs, and interpersonal influence. The researcher employs an associative descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample used is a saturated sample with a total of 31 respondents. The results indicate that the t-test value of 16,649>1,697) shows that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, with a significance value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05). The R square value of 0.905 means that 90.5% of the supervision variable influences the employee performance variable. It is also known that each increase of one unit in the supervision variable will result in an increase in employee performance by 1.385. The study results show a strong and significant positive influence between supervision and the performance of civil servants at the Regional Development Planning Agency of Serang City.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menguji keberpengaruhan pengawasan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) di Badan Pengawasan Pembangunan Daerah Kota Serang. Lemahnya pengawasan mengenai perilaku pegawai, lemahnya sanksi yang diberikan kepada pegawai yang melanggar kedisiplinan, tidak efektifnya sistem absensi pegawai, serta menurunnya realisasi kinerja dalam perencanaan pembangunan daerah menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian. Teori yang digunakan yaitu Teori Pengawasan dari Robbins dan Coulter dengan indikator yaitu menetapkan standar, pengukuran, membandingkan, dan melakukan tindakan. Juga digunakan Teori Kinerja Pegawai dari Bernaddin, Russel dengan parameter ukuran, kualitas, kuantitas, ketepatan waktu, efektifitas biaya, kebutuhan pengawasan, dan pengaruh interpersonal. Metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode deskriptif asosiatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dimana sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh dengan total 31 responden. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa nilai hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh (16,649>1,697) yang menunjukkan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05) dan didapatkan r square 0.905 yang berarti 90,5% variabel pengawasan mempengaruhi variabel kinerja pegawai. Diketahui pula bahwa setiap adanya upaya kenaikan satu atau satuan variabel pengawasan maka akan menyebabkan kenaikan kinerja pegawai sebesar 1,385. Hasil penelitian diketahui terdapat pengaruh positif yang kuat dan signifikan antara pengawasan dan kinerja pegawai negeri sipil di Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah Kota Serang. | |||||||||
