Abstract
Home industry activities are one of the contributors of pollutants to the environment, so every home industry is expected to pay attention to environmental aspects in every activity. This can be implemented sustainable production system and sustainable manufacturing. Environmental impact assessment can use the life cycle assessment method. The stages in life cycle assessment are goal and scope definition, life cycle inventory, life cycle impact assessment and interpretation. This research aims to determine the input and output of each process, identify environmental impacts and provide suggestions for improvements. The research results showed that each process of making tofu has different input and output. Environmental impacts consist of the categories acidification, euthropication, global warming and ozone layer depletion. The biggest impact category is the milling process for the acidification category, namely 7.1 × 10-5 kg SO2 and ozone layer depletion, namely 8.71 × 10-5 kg CFC. Meanwhile, for the global warming and euthropication categories, the largest values in the boiling process were 0.019288 kg CO2 and 6.61 × 10-6 kg PO4. From the impact that occurred, a proposal for improvement was given, namely replacing firewood fuel with biogas in the boiling process with a percentage reduction in environmental impacts in the euthropication category of 30% and a reduction in global warming of 17%.

Additional Information: | Kegiatan industri rumahan menjadi salah satu penyumbang polutan terhadap lingkungan, maka setiap industri rumahan diharapkan memperhatikan aspek lingkungan dalam setiap aktivitas. Hal ini dapat dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan sistem produksi yang lebih berkelanjutan atau sustainable manufacturing. Penilaian dampak lingkungan dapat menggunakan metode life cycle assessment. Tahapan dalam life cycle assessment adalah goal and scope definition, life cycle inventory, life cycle impact assessment dan interpretation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan input dan output setiap proses, mengidentifikasi dampak lingkungan dan memberikan usulan perbaikan. Didapatkan hasil penelitian yaitu setiap proses pembuatan tahu memiliki input dan output yang berbeda. Dampak lingkungan terdiri dari kategori acidification, euthropication, global warming dan ozone layer depletion. Kategori dampak terbesar yaitu proses penggilingan untuk kategori acidification yaitu 7,1 × 10-5 kg SO2 dan ozone layer depletion yaitu 8,71 × 10-5 kg CFC. Sedangkan untuk kategori global warming dan euthropication nilai terbesar pada proses perebusan yaitu 0,019526 kg CO2 dan 6,61 × 10-6 kg PO4. Dari dampak yang terjadi diberikan usulan perbaikan yaitu mengganti bahan bakar kayu bakar menjadi biogas pada proses perebusan dengan persentase penurunan dampak lingkungan pada kategori euthropication sebesar 30% dan penurunan pada global warming sebesar 17%. | |||||||||
