Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between self efficacy and environmental literacy among senior high school students in Serang City, Indonesia. The population of the study was all Grade XI students at SMAN 4 Kota Serang, and the research sample consisted of students from classes XI MIPA-6 and XII MIPA-3. Purposive random sampling was employed to select the sample, and a descriptive correlational research method was used. Data were collected using two instruments: a self efficacy instrument and an environmental literacy instrument. The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between self efficacy and environmental literacy with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.940. This indicates that students with high self efficacy tend to have good environmental knowledge. By understanding and improving students' self efficacy, teachers can help students develop the competencies needed to become environmentally conscious and responsible individuals. This will contribute to the creation of a more sustainable and environmentally friendly society.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keyakinan diri (self efficacy) dan literasi lingkungan pada siswa Kelas XI SMAN Kota Serang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Kelas XI SMAN 4 Kota Serang dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas XI MIPA-6 dan XII MIPA-3. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive random sampling dan metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif korelasional. Data dikumpulkan melalui dua instrumen, yaitu instrumen self efficacy dan instrumen literasi lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara self efficacy dan literasi lingkungan dengan koefisien nilai (r) sebesar 0,940. Hal ini berarti bahwa siswa dengan keyakinan diri tinggi cenderung memiliki pengetahuan lingkungan yang baik. Dengan memahami pentingnya self efficacy siswa terhadap literasi lingkungan, diharapkan guru dapat membantu siswa mengembangkan dua hal tersebut yang dibutuhkan untuk menjadi individu yang peduli lingkungan dan bertanggung jawab. Hal ini akan berkontribusi pada terciptanya masyarakat yang lebih berkelanjutan dan ramah lingkungan. | |||||||||
