Abstract
This research wants to know the reality of the position of meaning and attitude of Untirta students regarding pluralism constructed in the film, whether rejecting, accepting, or only adopting a part, and also how the audience's meaning is clashed with the experience and stock of knowledge built through the social construction process of the student organization environment. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach, Reception Analysis Theory and Social Construction Theory, as well as Reception Analysis research method to explain the meaning position of Untirta students (dominant, negotiation, opposition). Data were collected through interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. The results of the research, namely 1) The dominant position of Untirta students' meaning brings up the idea that pluralism is a solution and inevitability of diversity, the negotiation position brings up the idea that Untirta students accept pluralism with modifications and restrictions, the opposition meaning is that pluralism is excessive tolerance, contrary to Islamic law and only accepts tolerance. 2) The construction process of the meaning of media texts of Untirta students shows the externalization stage through the interaction of Untirta students with organizational cultural products (studies and books), the objectivation stage, namely the formation of the same values between Untirta students and the organizations they follow, then the internalization stage, namely the formation of new attitudes, behaviors, and values that have been adopted in Untirta students, where the stages of the social construction process will influence and determine the position of the meaning of Untirta students.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui realitas posisi pemaknaan dan pengambilan sikap mahasiswa Untirta mengenai pluralisme yang dikonstruksikan dalam film, apakah menolak, menerima, atau hanya mengadopsi sebafian, dan juga bagaimana pemaknaan khalayak dibenturkan dengan pengalaman dan stock of knowledge yang dibangun melalui proses konstruksi sosial dari lingkungan organisasi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, Teori Analisis Resepsi dan Teori Konstruksi Sosial, serta metode penelitian Analisis Resepsi untuk menjelaskan posisi pemaknaan mahasiswa Untirta (dominan, negosiasi, oposisi). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian, yaitu 1) Pemaaknaan mahasiswa Untirta posisi dominan memunculkan gagasan bahwa pluralisme merupakan solusi dan keniscayaan atas keberagaman, pemaknaan posisi negosiasi memunculkan gagasan mahasiswa Untirta menerima pluralisme dengan modifikasi dan batasan, pemaknaan oposisi yaitu pluralisme merupakan toleransi berlebihan, bertentang dengan syariat Islam dan hanya menerima toleransi. 2) Proses konstruksi atas pemaknaan teks media mahasiswa Untirta menunjukkan tahap eksternalisasi melalui interaksi mahasiswa Untirta terhadap produk budaya organisasi (kajian dan buku), tahap objektivasi yaitu terbentuknya nilai yang sama antara mahasiswa Untirta dengan organisasi yang diikuti, kemudian tahap internalisasi yaitu terbentuknya sikap, perilaku, dan nilai baru yang telah diadopsi dalam diri mahasiswa Untirta, yang mana tahapan proses konstruksi sosial tersebut akan mempengaruhi dan menentukan posisi pemaknaan mahasiswa Untirta. | |||||||||
