Abstract

This research aims to develop digital teaching material products for students' critical thinking skills on the excretory system concept for class XI. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the Sugiyono development model which includes potential and problem stages, data collection, product design, design validation, product revision and product testing. The data collection in struments used were material expert assessment instruments, media experts as well as teacher and student response tests. The results of the material expert validation test in the aspects of material presentation, language and critical thinking skills obtained an average score of 82% in the appropriate category. The results of media expert validation tests on the cover design and content design aspects obtained an average score of 87% in the appropriate category. The overall validation test results of material experts and media experts obtained an average score of 86% in the appropriate category. The results of product trials by teachers in aspects of product design, product anatomy and programming obtained an average score of 87% in the appropriate category. The results of product trials by students in the aspects of ease of use, interest and motivation as well as media benefits obtained an average score of 95% with a very decent category. Based on the results of research and development, digital teaching materials on the excretory system material as a learning medium for class XI high school students are suitable as biology learning media.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk bahan ajar digital keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada konsep sistem ekskresi kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Sugiyono yang meliputi tahapan potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi produk dan uji coba produk. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah instrumen penilaian ahli materi, ahli media serta uji respon guru dan siswa. Hasil uji validasi ahli materi pada aspek penyajian materi, kebahasaan dan keterampilan berpikir kritis memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82% dengan kategori layak. Hasil uji validasi ahli media pada aspek desain sampul dan desain isi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 87% dengan kategori layak. Hasil uji validasi ahli materi dan ahli media secara keseluruhan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 86% dengan kategori layak. Hasil uji coba produk oleh guru pada aspek desain produk, anatomi produk dan pemrograman memperoleh nilai rata-rata 87% dengan kategori layak. Hasil uji coba produk oleh siswa pada aspek kemudahan penggunaan, minat dan motivasi serta manfaat media memperoleh nilai rata-rata 95% dengan kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengembangan, bahwa media bahan ajar digital pada materi sistem ekskresi sebagai media pembelajaran siswa SMA kelas XI layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran biologi.
