Abstract

The condition of deposits in the current economic context is greatly influenced by various important factors. First of all, the interest rate set by the central bank plays a crucial role in determining the attractiveness of deposits. When interest rates are high, deposits become more attractive because they offer higher returns compared to other investment instruments. On the other hand, low interest rates can make people look for more profitable investment alternatives. The aim of this research is to identify Deposit Interest Rates, Inflation, Economic Growth, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) on the Total Deposit Savings at Commercial Banks in Indonesia for the 2018Q1 –2023Q4 Period. This research uses the Generalized Method of Moment (GMM) method which is processed using the STATA application. The results of this research show that deposit interest rates, inflation and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on the amount of deposit savings. Meanwhile, the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) have a negative and significant effect on the amount of deposit savings.
