Abstract
Agriculture is one of important sector in Indonesia. The tendency of changing consumption patterns into vegetarian foodstuff that made horticultural crops especially vegetables as commodity much in demand, among which long beans and cucumbers. The purpose of the research is to analyze cost, income, R/C ratio, BEP (break event point) and to analyze what is the most efficient and profitable farming between long beans and cucumbers farming. Methodes used in research is survey method to the location of the research determined intentionally (purposive) which located at Sinarjaya village. Respondents in this research is 35 long beans farmers and 35 cucumber farmers. The result showed that total cost of long beans farming is Rp.36.399.889,92 and cucumbers farming is Rp.37.650.246,60. Income of long beans farming is Rp.32.596.120,39 and income of cucumbers farming is Rp.30.971.875,20. R/C ratio of long beans farming is 1,90 and cucumbers farming is 1,82. BEP (unit/Q) of long beans farming is 7.489 kg and cucumbers farming is 8.654 kg. Based on these data it can be concluded that long beans farming is more efficient and profitable than cucumbers farming.
