Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities are those who have intelligence below average. Fine motor skills for children with intellectual disabilities are very important and influential in their daily activities. In this study, children with intellectual disabilities need to optimize their fine motor skills, especially hand-eye coordination. For this reason, researchers intend to help improve children's fine motor skills with simple activities, namely using kirigami, in which there are folding and cutting activities. The method used in this research is a single subject research method (Single Subject Research) with an A-B-A design which has 3 phases, namely baseline-1 (A1), intervention (B), and baseline-2 (A2). Based on the results of research and data processing, it is known that the average fine motor ability or mean level of research subjects in the baseline-1 phase (A1) is 25%, the intervention phase (B) increases to 96.3%, and in the baseline-2 phase (A2) the mean level obtained is 67.6%. It can be concluded that learning to use kirigami can improve the fine motor skills of research subjects with intellectual disabilities at SLB Al Gaffar Guchany. Additional Information: Anak dengan hambatan intelektual adalah anak yang memiliki kecerdasan dibawah rata-rata. Kemampuan motorik halus bagi anak dengan hambatan intelektual sangatlah penting dan sangat berpengaruh dalam aktifitas kehidupannya. Dalam penelitian ini, anak dengan hambatan intelektual memerlukan pengoptimalan kemampuan motorik halusnya terutama koordinasi mata dengan tangan. Untuk itu peneliti bermaksud membantu meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak dengan kegiatan sederhana yaitu menggunakan kirigami yang didalamnya terdapat kegiatan melipat dan menggunting. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research) dengan desain A-B-A yang memiliki 3 fase, yaitu baseline-1 (A1), Intervensi (B), dan baseeline-2 (A2). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data, diketahui bahwa kemampuan motorik halus rata-rata atau mean level subjek penelitian pada fase baseline-1 (A1) sebesar 25%, fase intervensi (B) meningkat menjadi 96,3%, sedangkan pada fase baseline-2 (A2) mean level yang didapat sebesar 67,6%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan kirigami dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus subjek penelitian dengan hambatan intelektual di SLB Al Gaffar Guchany.
