Abstract
Nurhayati. NIM. 6661170077. 2024. Public Administration Study Program. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Thesis. Gender Responsiveness on Public Facilities at the Merak-Bakauheni Ferry Port in 2024. Supervisor I: Dr. Rina Yulianti, M.Si and Supervisor II: Nikki Prafitri, M.Si This research aims to determine the level of gender responsiveness in public sea transportation facilities at the Merak-Bakauheni Ferry Port at the Regular Pier. The theory uses gender-responsive infrastructure theory according to Widyastuti & Agustin (2019) which includes infrastructure for all, infrastructure that concern on everyone’s needs, safe infrastructure, comfortable infrastructure, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. The research method uses quantitative methods. The research design uses a descriptive design. The research population was breastfeeding mothers, people with disabilities, and elderly parents as users of sea transportation services at the Merak-Bakauheni port, Regular Pier in 2024. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a total of 100 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using a one-sample t-test using the SPSS Version 24 program. The research results showed that the level of gender responsiveness in public facilities at the Merak-Bakauheni Ferry Port in 2024 was declared unresponsive. This is based on the hypothesis testing criteria, where it is known that the value tcount < ttable (-4.114 < 1.660), then H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. The percentage assessment of gender responsiveness was 44.68%. Research suggestions include that the Merak-Bakauheni port management can provide a special room for breastfeeding mothers or a lactation room, provide guiding texture tiles (guiding blocks) in the drop zone, provide ramp access or ramps, provide special toilets for the disabled, and other suggestions. Teori menggunakan teori infrastruktur responsif gender menurut Widyastuti & Agustin (2019) yang meliputi infrastruktur untuk semua, infrastruktur yang memperhatikan kebutuhan setiap orang, infrastruktur yang aman, infrastruktur yang nyaman, dan infrastuktur yang ramah lingkungan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah ibu menyusui, penyandang disabilitas (difabel) dan orang tua lanjut usia (lansia) selaku pengguna jasa transportasi laut di pelabuhan Merak-Bakauheni Dermaga Reguler tahun 2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling dengan jumlah sebanyak 100 responden. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji one sample t-test dengan program SPSS Versi 24. Hasil penelitian diketahui tingkat responsivitas gender pada fasilitas umum di Pelabuhan Penyeberangan Merak-Bakauheni tahun 2024 dinyatakan tidak responsif. Hal ini didasarkan dari kriteria pengujian hipotesis, dimana diketahui nilai thitung < ttabel (-4,114 < 1,660), maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Adapun penilaian persentase responsivitas gender sebesar 44,68%. Saran penelitian diantaranya pihak pengelola pelabuhan Merak-Bakauheni dapat menyediakan ruang khusus untuk ibu yang menyusui atau ruang laktasi, menyediakan ubin tekstur pemandu (guiding block) di drop zone, menyediakan akses jalan landai atau tangga landai, menyediakan toilet khusus bagi difabel dan saran lain sebagainya.
