Abstract

Durian fruit (Durio zibethinus L.) or known as "King of The Fruits" type of fruit it great demand by the public because it has a delicious and unique taste, therefore production has a high selling value. However, durian production has experienced inhibition due to the lack of nutritions. Efforts are made so that durian production continues to increase and produce superior durian, one of which is by providing nutrient requirements for plants. Moreover, the addition of vitamin B1 can also play a role in accelerating plant growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of durian seedlings (Durio zibethinus L.) by giving several concentrations of AB mix and vitamin B1 (thiamin). This research is an experimental research. The research was conducted from February to April 2024 at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The research method used randomized block design with 2 factors, and 9 combination of treatments that was repeated 3 times. The observed responses include: Plant Height (cm), Number of Leaves (strands), Leaf Length (cm), Leaf Width (cm), Stem Diameter (mm), Length and Width Ratio (cm), and Leaf Greenness Index (chlorophyll units). Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded as follows: (1.) AB mix treatment 1500 ppm gives the best effect on the parameters of the number of leaves (cm), leaf length (cm), and leaf greenness index (unit). (2.) The treatment of vitamin B1 45 ml/g has no significant effect on the entire response of durian plant growth observation parameters (Durio zibethinus L.). (3.) There is no interaction between the application of AB mix with the appicatin of vitamin B1 on the entire response parameters of durian plant growth observations (Durio zibethinus L.).

Additional Information: Buah durian (Durio zibethinus L.) atau dikenal dengan sebutan "King of The Fruits" merupakan jenis buah yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat karena memiliki rasa yang lezat dan unik, sehingga produksinya memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi. Akan tetapi, produksi durian mengalami kendala karena kurangnya unsur hara. Berbagai upaya dilakukan agar produksi durian terus meningkat dan menghasilkan durian yang unggul, salah satunya dengan mencukupi kebutuhan unsur hara bagi tanaman. Selain itu, penambahan vitamin B1 juga dapat berperan dalam mempercepat pertumbuhan tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan bibit durian (Durio zibethinus L.) dengan pemberian beberapa konsentrasi AB mix dan vitamin B1 (thiamin). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan April 2024 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok dengan 2 faktor, dan 9 kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Respon yang diamati meliputi: Tinggi Tanaman (cm), Jumlah Daun (helai), Panjang Daun (cm), Lebar Daun (cm), Diameter Batang (mm), Nisbah Panjang dan Lebar (cm), dan Indeks Kehijauan Daun (unit klorofil). Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1.) Perlakuan campuran AB 1500 ppm memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada parameter jumlah daun (cm), panjang daun (cm), dan indeks kehijauan daun (unit). (2.) Perlakuan vitamin B1 45 ml/g tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap keseluruhan respon parameter pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman durian (Durio zibethinus L.). (3.) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pemberian campuran AB dengan aplikasi vitamin B1 terhadap keseluruhan parameter respon pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman durian (Durio zibethinus L.).
