Abstract

21st century skills need to be instilled and trained to realize the expected education according to its level. One of the skills that can be trained in accordance with the Graduate Competency Standards of the independent curriculum unit of junior high school education in science subjects is the ability to analyze students. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve students' analytical skills, one of which is by using teaching materials, namely guided inquiry-based modules. The purpose of this study was to develop and determine the level of validation of teaching materials for modules that have been made. The method in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with adaptation based on the 4-D model. This model consists of 4 stages of development, namely define, design, develop, disseminate. However, this research is limited to the develop stage, especially at the expert validation level. To measure the level of validity of the product, an expert validation questionnaire sheet was used which was assessed by 3 material experts, 3 teaching material experts, and 2 expert practitioners (junior high school science teachers). The results in this study seen from the overall experts got a percentage value of 87.63% with a very valid category. Based on the results of expert validation obtained, it can be concluded that the development of guided inquiry-based modules on temperature and heat material to train junior high school students' analysis skills is included in the category of very validity level.

Additional Information: Keterampilan abad 21 perlu ditanamkan serta dilatih untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang diharapkan sesuai dengan tingkatannya. Salah satu keterampilan yang dapat dilatih sesuai dengan Standar Kompetensi Lulusan satuan kurikulum merdeka pendidikan tingkat SMP pada mata pelajaran IPA yaitu pada kemampuan analisis siswa. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan analisis siswa salah satunya dengan menggunakan bahan ajar yaitu modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui tingkat validasi bahan ajar modul yang sudah dibuat. Metode pada penelitan ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan adaptasi bedasarkan model 4-D. Pada model ini terdiri dari atas 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu define, design, develop, disseminate. Akan tetapi pada penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap develop khususnya pada tingkat validasi ahli. Untuk mengukur tingkat kevalidan produk digunakan lembar angket validasi ahli yang dinilai oleh 3 orang ahli materi, 3 orang ahli bahan ajar, dan 2 orang ahli praktisi (Guru IPA SMP). Hasil pada penelitian ini dilihat dari keseluruhan para ahli mendapat nilai presentase 87,63% dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli yang diperoleh dapat disimpulakan bahwa pengembangan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing materi suhu dan kalor untuk melatih kemampuan analisis siswa SMP termasuk kedalam kategori tingkat kevalidan sangat valid.
