Abstract
This research aims to determine the application of the Role Playing Method during the 1945 Bojongkokosan Incident to Increasing the Patriotic Values of Class The research method used was experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design technique, sampling using a random sampling technique with a sample size of 74 which was divided into 2 classes, namely the control class and the experimental class, each with 37 students. Applying the role playing method, students carry out learning activities by playing roles that reflect national and regional figures. In accordance with the indicators of patriotic values used. With 4 meetings which include the introduction stage, pretest stage, treatment stage with the application of learning methods and the final stage, namely the posttest. From the results of the experimental class research, students were able to follow the stages of the activity very well because students were successful in using the role playing method which can be seen from students developing social skills, communication skills, historical awareness and high learning motivation in accordance with their values. -patriotic values. There is an influence of the role playing method on increasing students' patriotic values in learning Indonesian history. This can be seen from the results of the t-test in the experimental class which obtained a sig. (2-tailed), namely 0.000, which means that the t-test value is significant (sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05), so it is accepted and rejected. Meanwhile, the control class obtained a sig. (2-tailed), namely 0.249, which means that the t-test value was significant (sig (2-tailed) 0.249 > 0.05), so it was rejected and accepted which meant there was no difference or influence in the control class. which only uses conventional methods so that there is no increase in patriotic values in the class. This means that there is a difference in the average pretest-posttest results of the experimental class, which obtained an average of 99.75 and 120.97. Meanwhile, the pretest-posttest results for the control class obtained an average of 96.37 and 99.16. So these results show that the ability to improve students' patriotic values is better using the role playing method. Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Penerapan Metode Role Playing pada Peristiwa Bojongkokosan 1945 terhadap Peningkatan Nilai-nilai Patriotik Siswa Kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Cidahu Kabupaten Sukabumi, Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tahapan wawancara, observasi dan angket/kuesioner. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan teknik pretest-posttest control group design, pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan teknik random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 74 yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelas yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masing- masing 37 siswa. Penerapan metode role playing, peserta didik melakukan kegiatan pembelajran dengan bermain peran yang mencerminkan tokoh-tokoh nasional dan daerah. Sesuai dengan indikator-indikator nilai-nilai patriotik yang digunakan. Dengan adanya 4 pertemuan yang meliputi tahap perkenalan, tahap pretest, tahap perlakuan dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran dan tahap terakhir yaitu posttest. Dari hasil penelitian kelas eksperimen peserta didik mampu mengikuti tahapan- tahapan kegiatan dengan sangat baik karena peserta didik sukses dalam menggunakan metode role playing yang dapat dilihat dari peserta didik dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, keterampilan berkomunikasi, kesadaran sejarah dan motivasi belajar yang tinggi yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai patriotik. Adanya pengaruh dari metode role playing terhadap peningkatan nilai-nilai patriotik peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sejarah indonesia. Hal ini dapat dilihat hasil uji-t pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh sig.(2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 dapat diartikan bahwa nilai uji-t signifikansi (sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05), maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol memperoleh sig.(2-tailed) yaitu 0,249 dapat diartikan bahwa nilai uji-t signifikansi (sig (2-tailed) 0,249 > 0,05), maka H1 ditolak dan H0 diterima yang diartikan tidak ada perbedaan atau pengaruh pada kelas kontrol yang hanya menggunakan metode konvensional sehingga tidak ada peningkatkan nilai-nilai patriotik di kelas tersebut. Yang diartikan adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil pretest-posttest kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 99,75 dan 120,97. Sedangkan, hasil pretest-posttest kelas kontrol memperoleh rata-rata 96,37 dan 99,16. Sehingga hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dalam meningkatkan nilai-nilai patriotik siswa lebih baik menggunakan metode role playing.
