Abstract

Learning motivation greatly influences student development. One source of learning motivation is through the use of learning media. There are still many sociology teachers who only use conventional learning media, resulting in low student motivation to learn. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is an influence and the percentage of influence of wordwall learning media on student learning motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas through a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample used was purposive sampling with several considerations so that XI IPS 1 was chosen as the experimental class and XI IPS 2 as the control class. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation and questionnaires. The purpose of distributing the questionnaire is to determine students' learning motivation before and after using the wordwall learning media. The instrument test used is the validity and reliability test. Test prerequisites for analysis using normality, homogeneity and linearity tests. Hypothesis testing in this research uses paired samples test, independent samples test, and simple regression test. Based on the independent samples test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the independent samples test, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is an influence of wordwall learning media on the learning motivation of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas. Based on the paired samples test, a significance value (2-tailed) was obtained of 0.000 < 0.05. The data concludes that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is an influence of wordwall learning media on the learning motivation of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas. Based on a simple regression test, it is known that wordwall learning media has a 51% effect on student learning motivation. So, it can be concluded that wordwall learning media has an influence on student learning motivation. This is in accordance with behavioristic learning theory which emphasizes stimulus and response in seeing changes in behavior. The stimulus in this research was wordwall learning media, while the response given was learning motivation. Additional Information: Motivasi belajar sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan peserta didik. Salah satu sumber motivasi belajar yaitu melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran. Masih banyak guru-guru sosiologi yang hanya menggunakan media belajar konvensional, akibatnya motivasi siswa rendah untuk belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh dan jumlah persentase pengaruh media pembelajaran wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas melalui metode quasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan beberapa pertimbangan sehingga dipilih XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket. Tujuan penyebaran angket yaitu untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah penggunaan media pembelajaran wordwall. Uji instrumen yang digunakan yaitu uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Uji prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan linieritas. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji paired samples test, independent samples test, dan uji regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan uji independent samples test didapatkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan uji independent samples test maka dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas. Berdasarkan uji paired samples test, didapatkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Data tersebut menyimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas. Berdasarkan uji regresi sederhana diketahui bahwa media pembelajaran wordwall berpengaruh sebesar 51% terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran wordwall berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori belajar behavioristik yang menekankan pada stimulus dan respons dalam melihat perubahan perilaku. Stimulus dalam penelitian ini berupa media pembelajaran wordwall, sedangkan respons yang diberikan yaitu berupa motivasi belajar.
