Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the correlation of students' interest in speaking and their speaking score at Public Administration UNTIRTA. The researcher used quantitative research by applying correlational research design for conducting the research. The population of this research was the third semester Students of Public Administration UNTIRTA. The sample. This research was chosen based on convenience sampling. The total population was 47, in this case researchers took 30 students of the population to be a sample. In conducting the research firstly, the researcher gave a speaking test to students. Then, the researcher gave a Speaking Interest questionnaire. The calculation showed the result of pearson product moment calculation was 0,54 was higher than 0,361 of 0.05 (5%) as a significance value. It means the alternative hypothesis was accepted. From those findings Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, it can be concluded that there is any correlation between students’ interest in speaking and their speaking score at the third semester of Public Administration UNTIRTA.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi minat belajar siswa berbicara dan nilai berbicara mereka di Administrasi Publik UNTIRTA. Itu Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menerapkan desain penelitian korelasional melakukan penelitian. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semester tiga Mahasiswa Ilmu Administrasi Negara UNTIRTA. Contoh. Penelitian ini adalah dipilih berdasarkan convenience sampling. Total populasi adalah 47, dalam hal ini peneliti mengambil 30 siswa dari populasi tersebut untuk dijadikan sampel. Dalam melakukan Penelitian pertama, peneliti memberikan tes berbicara kepada siswa. Lalu, peneliti memberikan kuesioner Minat Berbicara. Perhitungan menunjukkan hasil perhitungan product moment pearson adalah 0,54 lebih tinggi dari 0,361 sebesar 0,05 (5%) sebagai nilai signifikansi. Artinya hipotesis alternatif diterima. Dari temuan tersebut Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak maka dapat disimpulkan ada korelasi apa pun antara minat siswa dalam berbicara dan nilai berbicara mereka semester III Ilmu Administrasi Negara UNTIRTA.
