Abstract

The characteristics of 21st century teaching utilizing information technology, digitalization and E-Learning have changed the way educators work, including teaching methods. In the field of electronics and robotics, teachers must create an effective learning environment and use a learning model that is in accordance with technological developments. The use of LMS is the main medium in self-directed learning that is able to contribute to the development of students' independent learning skills. The purpose of the research is to design an LMS Based on Self-Directed Learning in the field of Electronics and Robotics courses, and to determine the level of feasibility for the use of LMS. This research is a type of research and development or Research and Development (R&D), the research method used is development research that adapts the Waterfall development model which consists of five stages, namely (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Implementation, (4) Verification, and (5) Maintenance. The final product resulting from this research is in the form of an LMS based on Self-directed Learning in the field of Electronics and Robotics courses. The LMS level involved 3 media experts and 26 people obtained from students of class X TITL 2 Electrical Power Installation Engineering Expertise Program of SMK Negeri 4 Serang City as a user trial. The feasibility level of a self-directed learning-based LMS refers to the feasibility of media. The results of the test from media experts (Alpha) were to get an overall average score of 81.7% with the qualification of "Very Feasible", and the results of the assessment from user respondents (Beta) with LMS obtained an overall average result of 85.2% with the qualification of "Very Feasible". Additional Information: Karakteristik pengajaran abad 21 memanfaatkan teknologi informasi, digitalisasi dan E-Learning telah mengubah cara pendidik bekerja termasuk pada metode pengajaran. Dalam bidang elektronika dan robotika, pengajar harus menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif dan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi. Penggunaan LMS menjadi media utama dalam pembelajaran mandiri (self-directed learning) yang mampu berkontribusi pada pengembangan keterampilan belajar mandiri siswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah merancang LMS Berbasis Self-Directed Learning Pada Bidang Kursus Elektronika Dan Robotika, dan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan terhadap penggunaan LMS. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengadaptasi model pengembangan Waterfall yang terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu (1) Analisis, (2) Desain, (3) Implementasi, (4) Verifikasi, dan (5) Pemeliharaan. Produk akhir yang dihasilkan dari penelitian in berupa LMS berbasis Self-directed Learning pada bidang kursus Elektronika dan Robotika. Adapun tingkat kelayakan LMS melibatkan 3 orang ahli media dan 26 orang yang diperoleh dari peserta didik kelas X TITL 2 Program Keahlian Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik SMK Negeri 4 Kota Serang sebagai uji coba pengguna. Tingkat kelayakan LMS berbasis self-directed learning merujuk pada kelayakan media. Hasil pengujian dari para ahli media (Alpha) yaitu mendapatkan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan 81,7% dengan kualifikasi “Sangat Layak”, serta hasil penilaian dari responden pengguna (Beta) dengan terhadap LMS didapatkan hasil rata-rata keseluruhan yaitu sebesar 85,2% dengan kualifikasi “Sangat Layak”.
