Abstract
Marine ecotourism is a potential activity in Tanjung Layar Beach, Lebak Regency, Banten. Tourism activities can harm the area if there is excess activity. The aim of this study are to know the suitability, carrying capacity, and management strategy of ecotourism in Tanjung Layar to prevent undesirable impacts on tourist areas. This research was conducted in December 2023 using observation and deep interviews. The respondents were chosen through an accidental sampling of as many as 100 visitors to Tanjung Layar Beach. The analysis of suitability and carrying capacity refers to Yulianda (2019). Based on observations, the area of Tanjung Layar is suitable for beach tourism at 215.80 meters with a carrying capacity is 17 people per day. Batu Layar is an attraction for visitors to take selfies, take a picture, and see the scenery. This condition attracts many visitors to travel and induces mass tourism that is not by the principles of ecotourism. In addition, most visitors mention that access, cleanliness, arrangement, and poor facilities are the shortcomings of the Tanjung Layar tourist area. The community not only enjoys the results of tourism activities but also has to participate in maintaining and preserving them to enjoy the results continuously. Besides providing a good service, the community can also educate visitors to maintain cleanliness and comply with existing tourism rules. The priority strategies that can be implemented by the community and tourism managers in Tanjung Layar Beach are building facilities and infrastructure (such as making information centers, arranging food stalls, and improving road access). Developing educational villages (such as cultural classes for tourists, ecotourism campaigns, and implementing zero waste in tourist areas by processing plastic waste into recycled crafts).

| Additional Information: | Ekowisata bahari merupakan kegiatan potensial di Pantai Tanjung Layar, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten. Aktivitas pariwisata dapat merugikan kawasan jika terjadi aktivitas berlebih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesesuaian, daya dukung, dan strategi pengelolaan ekowisata di Tanjung Layar untuk mencegah dampak yang tidak diinginkan terhadap kawasan wisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2023 dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Responden dipilih melalui aksidental sampling sebanyak 100 orang pengunjung Pantai Tanjung Layar. Analisis kesesuaian dan daya dukung mengacu pada Yulianda (2019). Berdasarkan observasi, kawasan Tanjung Layar cocok untuk wisata pantai dengan ketinggian 215,80 meter dengan daya dukung 17 orang per hari. Batu Layar menjadi daya tarik pengunjung untuk berswafoto, berfoto, dan melihat pemandangan. Kondisi ini menarik banyak pengunjung untuk berwisata dan mendorong terjadinya pariwisata massal yang tidak sesuai dengan prinsip ekowisata. Selain itu, sebagian besar pengunjung menyebutkan bahwa akses, kebersihan, penataan, dan buruknya fasilitas menjadi kekurangan kawasan wisata Tanjung Layar. Masyarakat tidak hanya sekedar menikmati hasil kegiatan pariwisata saja, namun juga harus turut serta menjaga dan melestarikannya agar dapat dinikmati hasilnya secara berkelanjutan. Selain memberikan pelayanan yang baik, masyarakat juga dapat mengedukasi pengunjung untuk menjaga kebersihan dan mematuhi aturan pariwisata yang ada. Strategi prioritas yang dapat dilakukan oleh masyarakat dan pengelola wisata di Pantai Tanjung Layar adalah membangun sarana dan prasarana (seperti pembuatan pusat informasi, penataan warung makan, dan peningkatan akses jalan). Mengembangkan desa edukasi (seperti kelas budaya bagi wisatawan, kampanye ekowisata, dan penerapan zero waste di kawasan wisata dengan mengolah sampah plastik menjadi kerajinan daur ulang). | |||||||||
