Abstract

Rainfall data is important data in hydrological analysis, but it is often incomplete due to various obstacles such as damage to measuring instruments. To overcome this problem, weather observation with satellites can be used. However, before using satellite rainfall data, it is necessary to test its suitability with field data to ensure its accuracy. This study aims to evaluate the PDIR-Now satellite rainfall data on observation rainfall data in Serang City to determine the feasibility of using satellite rainfall data and the influence of rain periods (daily (>50mm/day), 15 days, and monthly) on the reliability of satellite data. The analysis method in this study uses statistikal analysis in the form of regression analysis at the calibration stage and RMSE, NSE, and Pearson (r) correlation coefficient at the validation stage. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the PDIR-Now satellite can estimate rainfall in the monthly period with a correlation value that interprets very strongly and NSE with a moderate category, while for the 15-day period, the correlation value is in the strong category but the NSE value is in the category of not fulfilling. As for the daily period rainfall, it has a correlation value and NSE is included in the category of not fulfilling.

Additional Information: Data curah hujan merupakan data penting dalam analisis hidrologi, namun seringkali tidak lengkap karena berbagai kendala seperti rusaknya alat ukur. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, pengamatan cuaca dengan satelit dapat digunakan. Namun, sebelum menggunakan data curah hujan satelit, perlu diuji kesesuaiannya dengan data lapangan untuk memastikan keakuratannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi data curah hujan satelit PDIR-Now terhadap data curah pengamatan di Kota Serang untuk mengetahui kelayakan penggunaan data hujan satelit dan pengaruh periode hujan (harian (>50mm/hari), 15 harian, dan bulanan) terhadap keandalan data satelit. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan analisa statistik yang berupa analisis regresi pada tahap kalibrasi dan RMSE, NSE, dan Koefisien korelasi Pearson (r) pada tahap validasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa satelit PDIR-Now dapat mengestimasi curah hujan pada periode bulanan dengan nilai korelasi yang berinterpretasi sangat kuat dan NSE dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan periode 15 harian, nilai korelasi termasuk kategori kuat tetapi nilai NSE termasuk kategori tidak memenuhi. Adapun untuk curah hujan periode harian memiliki nilai korelasi dan NSE yang termasuk kategori tidak memenuhi.
