Abstract

This study aims to understand the influence among the variables of self-efficacy, habits of mind, and numeracy literacy skills of high school students. This research is a quantitative study employing a survey method and utilizing a structural equation model (SEM) related to the relationships between self-efficacy (X1), habits of mind (X2), and numeracy literacy skills of high school students (Y). The research was conducted in public high schools in Serang City, with the population being public high school students in Serang City. A sample of 386 students was selected using the Slovin formula from 6 selected schools across 6 districts in Serang City. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires on self-efficacy, habits of mind, and a written test in the form of AKM-based numeracy literacy questions. The collected data were then analyzed using a structural equation model (SEM), assisted by Smart-PLS 3 software. The results showed that: (1) There is a positive and significant influence of self-efficacy on the numeracy literacy skills of public high school students in Serang City, (2) There is a positive and significant influence of habits of mind on the numeracy literacy skills of public high school students in Serang City, and (3) There is a positive and significant simultaneous influence of self-efficacy and habits of mind on the numeracy literacy skills of public high school students in Serang City.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk agar dapat mengetahui pengaruh antar variabel self-efficacy, habits of mind, dan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan menggunakan model persamaan struktural (Structural Equation Model) terkait hubungan self-efficacy (X1), habits of mind (X2), dan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMA (Y). Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri di Kota Serang, dengan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Serang, dan sampel yang dipilih menggunakan rumus slovin adalah sebanyak 386 siswa dari 6 sekolah sampel terpilih berdasarkan 6 kecamatan di Kota Serang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket self-efficacy, habits of mind, dan tes tulis berbentuk soal literasi numerasi berbasis AKM. Data yang sudah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan structural equation model (SEM), berbantu software Smart-PLS 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Serang, (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan habits of mind terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Serang, dan (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-efficacy dan habits of mind secara simultan terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Serang.
