Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the CL model on students' historical thinking abilities in history learning at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental, with a sample selected through purposive sampling technique. Based on the considerations with the history subject teacher, the classes chosen had similar average exam scores, specifically classes XI 2 and XI 3. Class XI 3 served as the control group, and class XI 2 as the experimental group. This study was conducted over a period of 6 months. The results of this study indicate that the CL model affects students' historical thinking abilities. The experimental group achieved an average score of 38.42, while the control group, which used conventional methods, obtained an average score of 30.95. This shows that the experimental group had an average difference of 7.47 points higher than the control group. After testing the hypothesis using an independent T-test, the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted, with the experimental group achieving a t-value > t-table value (5.771 > 1.997). The CL model can be used as a reference in the process of teaching Indonesian history to improve historical thinking abilities, particularly in: 1) Utilizing visual data and data presented in graphical form to clarify, illustrate, or explain information presented in historical narratives, 2) Identifying the authorship or source of historical documents or narratives, 3) Using visual, literary, and musical sources to clarify, illustrate, or explain information presented in historical narratives. Implementing the CL model in materials related to the connection between octroi rights, political strategies, and spice-producing regions requires a long period of time.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model CL terhadap kemampuan berpikir historis siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang, metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purpossive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil pertimbangan dengan guru mata pelajaran sejarah kelas yang memiliki nilai ujian yang rata-rata nilainya hampir sama yaitu kelas XI 2 dan XI 3. Kelas XI 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh model CL terhadap kemampuan berpikir historis siswa, kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 38,42, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan konvesional memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 30,95. Menunjukan kelas eksperimen memiliki selisih rata-rata sebesar 7.47 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol, setelah diujikan uji hipotesis dengan Uji T Sampel indenpendent, terdapat penerimaan pada hipotesis alternatif (ha). dengan kelas eksperimen memperoleh t hitung > t tabel (5.771 > 1.997), model CL dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir historis, terutama dalam : 1) memanfaatkan data visual dan data yang disajikan dalam bentuk grafik untuk memperjelaskan mengilustrasikan atau menguraikan informasi yang disajikan dalam narasi sejarah, 2) identifikasi penulisan atau sumber dari dokumen sejarah atau narasi, 3) menggunakan sumber visual, sastra dan musik untuk memperjelaskan mengilustrasikan atau mengurai informasi yang disajikan dalam narasi sejarah, dibutuhkan waktu yang panjang dalam menerapkan model CL pada materi keterkaitan antara hak octroi, strategi politik terhadap wilayah penghasil rempah-rempah. | |||||||||
