Abstract
The phenomenon of long distance marriage is increasing day by day due to the demands of work. This study aims to describe seduction activities and their contribution to increasing intimacy. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Interpersonal communication theory and social penetration theory, and uses phenomenological methods to explore the experiences, meanings, and motivations of couples in seduction activities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three couples, observation, and literature study. The results showed four main components: 1) Marital Experience: LDM couples face many challenges but can maintain a harmonious relationship through open communication and strong commitment. 2) Seduction Experience: Verbal and nonverbal flirting activities are important for maintaining emotional bonds, helping couples feel closer despite being physically separated. 3) Seduction Interpretation: Flirting is seen as a symbol of love and care that strengthens intimacy. 4) Seduction Motivation: The main motivation is to maintain and enhance intimacy, and overcome homesickness and boredom. Flirting can strengthen emotional support between partners.

| Additional Information: | Fenomena pernikahan jarak jauh (Long Distance Marriage) semakin hari semakin meningkat hal ini terjadi akibat adanya tuntutan pekerjaan. Pernikahan jarak jauh berisiko tinggi terhadap perceraian dibandingkan pernikahan konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan aktivitas rayuan dan kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan keintiman (intimacy). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori komunikasi Interpersonal dan teori penetrasi sosial, serta menggunakan metode fenomenologi untuk menggali pengalaman, pemaknaan, dan motivasi pasangan dalam aktivitas rayuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tiga pasangan, observasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat komponen utama: 1) Pengalaman Pernikahan: Pasangan LDM menghadapi banyak tantangan namun dapat mempertahankan hubungan yang harmonis melalui komunikasi terbuka dan komitmen yang kuat. 2) Pengalaman Rayuan: Aktivitas rayuan verbal dan nonverbal penting untuk menjaga ikatan emosional, membantu pasangan merasa lebih dekat meskipun terpisah secara fisik. 3) Pemaknaan Rayuan: Rayuan dipandang sebagai simbol cinta dan perhatian yang memperkuat keintiman. 4) Motivasi Rayuan: Motivasi utamanya adalah untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan keintiman, serta mengatasi rasa rindu dan jenuh. Rayuan dapat memperkuat dukungan emosional antar pasangan. | |||||||||
