Abstract

There are many factors that make students have difficulty mastering poetry writing skills, such as a lack of internal and external motivation to learn and a lack of desire to try to explore their own potential in the field of writing. The ability to write poetry of class This research aims to describe the differences between the influence of the Imagination Suggestion method and the Think-Pair-Share method in developing students' imagination in learning to write poetry. Experimental methods with a quantitative approach were used in this research. This research uses a True Experimental Design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The control class group used the Think-Pair-Share method and the experimental class group used the Imagination Suggestion method. The results of the posttest using the Imagination Suggestion method treatment achieved a school KKM score of 75 with an average score of 84.50. When compared with the posttest results of the Think-Pair-Share method with an average score of 61.4, which means the effect is not very significant on students' imagination abilities when writing poetry, the Imagination Suggestion method has a much greater influence. Additional Information: Banyak faktor yang membuat siswa memiliki kesulitan dalam menguasai keterampilan menulis puisi seperti kurangnya motivasi belajar dari internal maupun eksternal serta kurang keinginan untuk mencoba menggali potensi diri dalam bidang menulis. Kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pabuaran masih sangat rendah dan belum mencapai nilai KKM sebesar 75 yang telah ditetapkan oleh sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan antara pengaruh metode Sugesti Imajinasi dan metode Think-PairShare dalam mengembangkan imajinasi siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi. Metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain True Experimental Design dengan pretestposttest control group design. Kelompok kelas kontrol menggunakan metode Think-Pair-Share dan kelompok kelas eksperimen menggunakan metode Sugesti Imajinasi. Hasil posttest dengan perlakuan metode Sugesti Imajinasi mencapai nilai KKM sekolah sebesar 75 dengan nilai rata-rata 84,50. Jika dibandingkan dengan hasil posttest metode Think-Pair-Share dengan nilai rata-rata 61, 4 yang berarti pengaruhnya tidak terlalu signifikan terhasdap kemampuan imajinasi siswa saat menulis puisi, metode Sugesti Imajinasi mempunyai pengaruh yang jauh lebih besar.
