Abstract

This research was conducted at public and private junior high schools in Serang City. The sample was selected based on accreditation using the Slovin formula as many as 394 students from public and private junior high schools accredited A, B, and C. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires related mathematics belief, learning independence and self-efficacy, as well as a list of report cards for the odd semester of the year. teaching 2023-2024. The collected data was then analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) assisted by SmartPLS. The results obtained in this study show that (1) there are significant indicators in measuring mathematics belief, (2) there are significant indicators in measuring learning independence, (3) there are significant indicators in measuring self-efficacy, (4) there is a positive and insignificant influence between mathematics belief on learning achievement, (5) there is a positive and significant influence between learning independence on learning achievement, (6) there is a positive and significant influence between self-efficacy on learning achievement, (7) there is positive and significant influence between mathematics beliefs on learning achievement through self-efficacy, (8) there is a positive and significant influence between learning independence on learning achievement through self-efficacy.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan menggunakan model persamaan struktural (structural equation model) terkait variabel keyakinan matematika, kemandirian belajar dan efikasi diri terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. Selain itu, dalam penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk dapat mengetahui besarnya pengaruh antar variabel jika dilihat dari tiap indikator dari variabel-variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP negeri dan swasta yang ada di Kota Serang. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan akreditasi menggunakan rumus slovin sebanyak 394 siswa dari SMP negeri dan swasta yang terakreditasi A, B, dan C. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket terkait keyakinan matematika, kemandirian belajar dan efikasi diri, serta daftar nilai ujian akhir semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023-2024. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan structural equation model (SEM) berbantuan SmartPLS. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkkan bahwa (1) terdapat indikator-indikator yang signifikan dalam mengukur keyakinan matematika, (2) terdapat indikator-indikator yang signifikan dalam mengukur kemandirian belajar, (3) terdapat indikator-indikator yang signifikan dalam mengukur efikasi diri, (4) terdapat pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan antara keyakinan matematika terhadap prestasi belajar, (5) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar, (6) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara efikasi diri terhadap prestasi belajar, (7) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara keyakinan matematika terhadap prestasi belajar melalui efikasi diri, (8) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar melalui efikasi diri.
