Abstract
Hair loss is one of the worrying problems, hair loss can be overcome by doing hair treatments such as hair tonic. Hair tonic is a cosmetic preparation that is useful for maintaining healthy hair, strengthening hair and stimulating hair growth. Hair tonic on the market contains synthetic ingredients such as minoxidil and has side effects. Based on these problems, hair tonic innovations made from natural ingredients are needed. Turbinaria conoides is a type of brown seaweed that has bioactive content such as flavonoids that are proven to help hair growth, while another plant that is proven to help hair growth is celery. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of T. conoides and celery extracts on hair tonic preparations in the hair growth process and to determine the best formulation in making hair tonic hair growth produced from T. conoides and celery. This research procedure consists of 3 stages, starting from the extraction process of T. conoides seaweed and celery extraction, followed by the preparation of hair tonic preparations, then the preparation of test animals and the application of hair tonic. The addition of T. conoides extract and celery extract to the hair tonic preparation of each treatment affects the hair growth of mice, this is obtained because on day 7 to day 28 the hair length has increased. The best formulation obtained from the bayes test is ST4, which is the treatment with the addition of seaweed extract by 10%.

| Additional Information: | Rambut rontok merupakan salah satu masalah yang mengkhawatirkan, rambut rontok dapat diatasi dengan melakukan perawatan rambut seperti hair tonic. Hair tonic adalah sediaan kosmetik yang berguna untuk menjaga kesehatan rambut, menguatkan rambut dan merangsang pertumbuhan rambut. Hair tonic yang beredar di pasaran mengandung bahan sintetis seperti minoxidil dan memiliki efek samping. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, inovasi hair tonic yang terbuat dari bahan alami dibutuhkan. Turbinaria conoides merupakan salah satu jenis rumput laut coklat yang memiliki kandungan bioaktif seperti flavonoid yang terbukti dapat membantu pertumbuhan rambut, sedangkan tanaman lain yang lain yang terbukti dapat membantu pertumbuhan rambut adalah seledri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak T. conoides dan seledri pada sediaan tonik rambut dalam proses pertumbuhan rambut dan untuk mengetahui formulasi terbaik dalam pembuatan hair tonik penumbuh rambut yang dihasilkan dari T. conoides dan seledri. Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap, dimulai dari proses ekstraksi rumput laut T. conoides dan seledri, dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan sediaan hair tonic, kemudian persiapan hewan uji dan aplikasi hair tonic. Penambahan ekstrak T. conoides dan ekstrak seledri pada sediaan tonik rambut masing-masing perlakuan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan rambut mencit, hal ini diperoleh karena pada hari ke 7 sampai hari ke 28 rambut panjang rambut mengalami peningkatan. Formulasi terbaik yang diperoleh dari uji bayes adalah ST4, yaitu perlakuan dengan penambahan ekstrak rumput laut sebesar 10%. | |||||||||
