Abstract

Customization of products creates a new approach in product design where consumer desires can be realized into a product. One form of customization is the demand for products in the form of face engravings for graduates. The number of graduates from Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in 2024 for the period of Batch II to Batch III is 1,400 graduates. The number of students participating in the graduation ceremony presents an opportunity to create face engraving products. To tackle this challenge, Kansei engineering and the production of face engraving products using a 3 Axis CNC Router machine become the solutions. Kansei engineering is used to obtain product specifications based on Kansei words determined by the consumers. The research results indicate that the face engraving product received 13 Kansei words which serve as a reference for the design of the face engraving product. These Kansei words are divided into four factors. Based on consumer assessments, the face engraving product generally received satisfactory results. However, there is one Kansei word where consumers feel less satisfied, which is "Polished" because, according to consumers, the polish provided still lacks shine on the face engraving product, thus improvement is needed in the product regarding the application of polish.

Additional Information: Kustomisasi produk menciptakan hal baru dalam perancangan produk dimana keinginan konsumen dapat diwujudkan menjadi sebuah produk. Salah satu bentuk kustomisasi yaitu pada permintaan produk berupa ukiran wajah untuk para wisudawan. Jumlah wisudawan Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa tahun 2024 periode Gelombang II sampai Gelombang III yaitu berjumlah 1.400 wisudawan. Jumlah mahasiswa yang mengikuti wisuda tersebut merupakan sebuah peluang untuk membuat sebuah produk ukiran wajah. Untuk bisa mengatasi tantangan tersebut, metode kansei engineering dan pembuatan produk ukiran wajah menggunakan mesin CNC Router 3 Axis menjadi solusi untuk mengatasinya. Kansei engineering digunakan untuk mendapatkan spesifikasi produk berdasarkan kansei words yang sudah ditentukan oleh konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk ukiran wajah mendapatkan 13 kata kansei yang dijadikan sebagai acuan perancangan produk ukiran wajah. Jumlah kata kansei tersebut terbagi ke dalam empat faktor. Berdasarkan penilaian konsumen, produk ukiran wajah secara umum mendapatkan hasil yang cukup memuaskan. Namun ada satu kata kansei dimana konsumen merasa kurang puas, yaitu pada kata “Diberi Pelitur” karena menurut konsumen pelitur yang diberikan masih kurang muncul kilapnya pada produk ukiran wajah, sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan produk terkait pemberian pelitur pada produk.
