Abstract
This research aims to understand the comparison the capacity to think critical of students who use the model the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Self Directed Learning (SDL). Methods used in this research is a quasi his experiments with a design research nonequivalent control group design. This study was conducted in public primary schools iv cilegon the academic year 2016/2017. Engineering the sample used is purposive of sampling. In this study class VA used as a class experiment I and class VB used as a class experiment II. Analysis techniques data to test hypotheses in this research using uji-t two parties and one right. Based on the calculation on hypothesis two parties obtained value -1,67591 ≤ 2,72 ≤ 1,67591 if ≤ t-tabel ≤ t-hitung ≤ ttabel so H0 turned down and Ha accepted. It means there were a difference in the capacity think critically students who received a model the problem based learning (PBL) and self directed learning (SDL). But test hypothesis one party obtained value 2,72 ≤ 1,67591, then H0 turned down and Ha accepted. This means that the ability to think critically students who were eligible the model based learning (PBL) is 67,43% better than students who were eligible self directed model learning (SDL) is 53,5%.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Self Directed Learning (SDL). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri IV Cilegon tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah Purposive Sampling. Pada penelitian ini kelas VA digunakan sebagai kelas Eksperimen I dan kelas VB digunakan sebagai kelas Eksperimen II. Teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dan satu kanan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan hipotesis dua pihak diperoleh nilai ≤ ≤ 1,67591 jika –ttabel ≤ thitung ≤ ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapatkan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Self Directed Learning (PBL). Adapun hasil uji hipotesis satu pihak diperoleh nilai ≤ 1,67591, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapat Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih baik yaitu sebesar 67,43% dibanding dengan siswa yang mendapat model Self Directed Learning (SDL) yaitu sebesar 53,5%. | |||||||||
