Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the process of internalizing multicultural education values, to find out how the results of internalizing multicultural education values, and to identify the obstacles and solutions for the internalization of multicultural education values in Ardaniah Islamic boarding school in Serang city. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that, first, the internalization process of multicultural education values in the Ardaniah Islamic boarding school in Serang city was carried out through Islamic classical book study activities, the role of Kiai and Ustadz Ustadzah, and through habituation of santri activities that triggered the implementation of internalized values. Second, the results obtained that santri were able to understand about multiculturalism, able to implement it, and in the end santri became individuals who were in line with the values of multicultural education. Third, there are still obstacles that hinder the internalization of multicultural education values, and several solutions have been implemented to overcome them.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang proses internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural, untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil dari internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural, dan untuk mengetahui kendala dan solusi internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural di pondok pesantren Ardaniah kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertama proses internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural di pondok pesantren Ardaniah kota Serang dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pengkajian kitab kuning, adanya peran Kiai dan Ustadz Ustadzah, dan melalui pembiasaan-pembiasaan aktifitas santri yang memicu pengimplementasian nilai-nilai yang diinternalisasikan. Kedua, hasil dari internalisasi tersebut yaitu santri mampu memahami tentang multikultural, mampu mengimplementasikannya, dan pada akhirnya santri menjadi pribadi yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural. Ketiga, masih terdapatnya kendala yang menghambat internalisasi nilai pendidikan multikultural yang kemudian dilakukan beberapa solusi untuk mengatasinya.
