Abstract
A Social change is a phenomenon in which life and social systems undergo transformation. One significant trigger of social change is tourism. Tourism has the potential to have a large social impact, especially through an increase in the number of tourists visiting, which can trigger conflict. These conflicts can be in the form of cultural shifts, changes in community behavior, and the fading of long-established values and norms. This research aims to understand the process of social change, identify forms of social change caused by tourism, and find out the driving and inhibiting factors of social change. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, through data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that tourism can trigger social change, especially through interactions between local communities and tourists in coastal areas. The forms of social change that occur in Cangkara Village as a result of tourism include cultural shifts in traditional music previously used in certain events with new music genres, changes in interaction patterns from face-to-face to more done through social media, as well as a decrease in youth participation in religious activities such as recitation and a reduced ability to filter new cultures that enter through interactions at tourist attractions.

| Additional Information: | Perubahan sosial merupakan fenomena di mana kehidupan dan sistem sosial mengalami transformasi. Salah satu pemicu signifikan perubahan sosial adalah pariwisata yang memiliki potensi untuk membawa dampak sosial yang besar melalui peningkatan jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung dan dapat memicu konflik. Konflik ini dapat berupa pergeseran budaya, perubahan perilaku masyarakat, serta memudarnya nilai dan norma yang telah lama ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami proses terjadinya perubahan sosial, mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk perubahan sosial yang disebabkan oleh pariwisata, serta mengetahui faktor pendorong dan penghambat perubahan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, melalui teknik pengumpulan data seperti observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pariwisata dapat memicu perubahan sosial, terutama melalui interaksi antara masyarakat lokal dan wisatawan di daerah pesisir. Bentuk-bentuk perubahan sosial yang terjadi di Kampung Cangkara sebagai akibat dari pariwisata meliputi pergeseran budaya musik tradisional yang sebelumnya digunakan dalam acara-acara tertentu dengan genre musik baru, perubahan pola interaksi dari tatap muka langsung menjadi lebih banyak dilakukan melalui media sosial, serta penurunan partisipasi pemuda dalam kegiatan keagamaan seperti pengajian dan berkurangnya kemampuan untuk menyaring budaya baru yang masuk melalui interaksi di tempat wisata. | |||||||||
