Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Project-Based Learning model on students' creative thinking abilities. This research is a type of experimental research. The design of this research is quantitative, using a pre-test post-test only control group design. The population of this study consists of all ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Kota Serang for the academic year 2023-2024, totaling 317 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample used includes 70 students from class IX B as the control group applying the lecture method and IX C as the experimental group applying the Project-Based Learning model. The data collection techniques used in this research are tests and documentation. Based on the hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test, the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05, thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Therefore, the Project-Based Learning model has a significant influence on students' creative thinking abilities.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif yang digunakan pre-test post-test only control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik di kelas IX SMP Negeri 11 Kota Serang pada tahun ajaran 2023-2024 dengan jumlah 317 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah 70 peserta didik di kelas IX B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menerapkan metode ceramah dan IX C sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menerapkan model Project Based Learning. Untuk teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000, yang lebih kecil dari 0.05, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sehingga model Project Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik.
