Abstract
This research is stimulated by low use of teaching materials in the learning process and the lack of ability science students as evidenced by the survey results TIMSS that shows the ability of science the Indonesian students experienced a decline in performance and are on the lowest. The study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of modules that are worth and know the impact of the outcome of the use of modules on increasing understanding of the concept of science students as well as knowing the opinion of the students after learning by using the module in the class V. The studies were conducted at the school's Kebonsari of the academic year 2016/2017. The method used in peneltian the method of Research and Development (R & D). Research the development of this is done through a process that is long enough. The process is making the initial design materials, testing experts, the revision in accordance with suggestions and criticisms of experts, and testing of the limited as well as test the understanding of concepts. The limited and understanding the concept of 40 students a class V from the Kebonsari II. The data research obtained by using the method of inquiry and understanding the concept be obtained using pretest and posttest. Processing data questionnaire with the Likert scale and understanding of the concept of using formula N-Gain. From this research, can be obtained the conclusion of the results of analysis testing experts that the teaching material in the form of modules can be a source of learning and showed good results with each of the test a learning science at 86, 45 %, the expert design by 75 %, and the translation of 91, 17 %, the limited to 98, 19 % and the understanding of concepts students of 0, 76.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penggunaan bahan ajar dalam proses pembelajaran dan rendahnya kemampuan sains siswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil survei TIMSS yang menunjukkan kemampuan sains siswa Indonesia mengalami penurunan prestasi dan berada pada tahapan terendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul yang layak serta mengatahui dampak hasil dari penggunaan modul terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa serta mengetahui pendapat siswa setelah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul di kelas V. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Kebonsari II tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Metode yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini yaitu metode Research and Development (R&D). Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan melalui sebuah proses yang cukup panjang. Proses tersebut yakni pembuatan desain awal bahan ajar, pengujian ahli, revisi sesuai saran dan kritik para ahli, dan pengujian skala terbatas serta tes pemahaman konsep. Uji terbatas dan tes pemahaman konsep dilakukan pada 40 orang siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kebonsari II. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode angket dan tes pemahaman konsep diperoleh menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Pengolahan data angket menggunakan skala Likert dan tes pemahaman konsep menggunakan rumus N-Gain. Dari penelitian ini, dapat diperoleh kesimpulan berupa hasil dari analisis pengujian para ahli bahwa bahan ajar berupa modul dapat menjadi sumber belajar dan menunjukkan hasil yang baik dengan masing-masing perolehan skor uji ahli pembelajaran IPA sebesar 86,45%, uji ahli desain sebesar 75%, dan uji ahli bahasa sebesar 91,17%, uji coba terbatas sebesar 98,19% dan tes pemahaman konsep siswa sebesar 0,76. | |||||||||
