Abstract
Learning about Pancasila and Citizenship Education in class According to the demands of the applicable curriculum, learning should be student-centered. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of the brainstorming method on PPKn cognitive learning outcomes. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, involving class XI IPA 2 students as the control group and class XI IPA 3 as the experimental group. The experimental group used the brainstorming method in learning, while the control group used conventional methods. Learning outcomes are measured using tests with instruments in the form of multiple choice questions and essays. Based on hypothesis testing with the t-test, the alsymp value was obtained. sig (2-tailed) is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). This shows that the brainstorming method has a positive influence on the cognitive learning outcomes of PPKn class XI students at SMA Negeri 4 Serang City for the 2023/2024 academic year. Thus, hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.

| Additional Information: | Pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang saat ini lebih berfokus pada guru, sehingga hasil belajar sebagian siswa belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Sesuai tuntutan kurikulum yang berlaku, pembelajaran seharusnya berpusat pada siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh metode curah gagasan brainstorming terhadap hasil belajar kognitif PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen, melibatkan siswa kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan metode brainstorming dalam pembelajaran, sementara kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Hasil belajar diukur menggunakan tes dengan instrumen berupa soal pilihan ganda dan esai. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan t-test, diperoleh nilai alsymp. sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Ini menunjukkan bahwa metode brainstorming memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif PPKn siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024.
