Abstract

The emergence of superior schools and fringe schools in Indonesia is due to the selection of the quality of prospective students in the Admission of New Students. One of the government's efforts to improve and distribute quality education is to implement a zoning system for accepting new students. Through the zoning system, students who live close to the school have a better chance of being accepted into the education unit. This research aims to determine the implementation of new student research policies based on the zoning system at SMAN 1 Pandeglang in Pandeglang Regency. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews, documentation and observation. Based on the research results, it shows that the implementation of the PPDB policy based on the zoning system at SMAN 1 Pandeglang has shown significant progress in achieving the goal of equal access to education. However, there are still challenges that need to be overcome, such as community understanding that needs to be improved and limited resources. With continuous efforts to improve and adapt policies according to the local context, it is hoped that this policy can have a greater positive impact on access to education in the Pandeglang district.

Additional Information: Munculnya sekolah unggulan dan sekolah pinggiran di Indonesia disebabkan oleh dilakukannya seleksi kualitas calon peserta didik dalam Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru. Salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk peningkatan dan pemerataan Pendidikan yang berkualitas adalah dengan menerapkan sistem zonasi pada Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru. Melalui sistem zonasi, siswa yang bertempat tinggal dekat dengan sekolah lebih berpeluang untuk diterima di satuan Pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Kebijakan Penelitian Peserta Didik Baru Berdasarkan Sistem Zonasi SMAN 1 Pandeglang di Kabupaten Pandeglang Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Implementasi kebijakan PPDB berdasarkan sistem zonasi di SMAN 1 Pandeglang telah menunjukkan progres yang signifikan dalam mencapai tujuan kesetaraan akses pendidikan. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan yang perlu diatasi, seperti pemahaman masyarakat yang perlu ditingkatkan dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Dengan upaya terus-menerus dalam memperbaiki dan menyesuaikan kebijakan sesuai dengan konteks lokal, diharapkan kebijakan ini dapat memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar bagi akses pendidikan di wilayah Kabupaten Pandeglang.
