Abstract
Peanuts as a group of palawija plants is one of the potential food crop commodities. Peanut production in Serang City has fluctuated in the last 4 years, and there are also fluctuations in the price of elephant variety peanuts, indicating that there are risks that arise. This study aims to determine the sources of risk that arise in elephant variety peanut farming and the level of economic risk in the form of production risk and price risk received. The form of measurement of the level of economic risk used in this study is the coefficient of variation (cv) and the lower limit (L). The results of this study indicate that the farmers face two types of risk sources, the production risk and the price risk. In production risk, there are risk caused by the form of climate/weather changes, the influence of production factors, as well as pests and diseases. In terms of price risk there are risk caused by the fluctuating price of peanuts and the increasing price of production inputs. Based on the research results, the (cv) in production is 0.02 and the lower limit of production is 93.157 kg, while the price risk has a (cv) of 0.05 and a lower limit of price (L) of Rp 20,999. Therefore, it can be concluded based on the calculation of the coefficient of variation (cv) that the level of production and price risk faced by peanut farmers in Pancur Village tends to be low because cv ≤ 0.5.

Additional Information: | Kacang tanah sebagai kelompok tanaman palawija merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman pangan yang potensial. Produksi kacang tanah di Kota Serang mengalami fluktuasi dalam 4 tahun terakhir, selain itu terjadi fluktuasi harga kacang tanah varietas gajah yang mengindikasikan adanya risiko yang timbul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sumber risiko yang timbul pada gajah usahatani kacang tanah varietas dan tingkat risiko ekonomi berupa risiko produksi dan risiko harga yang diterima. Metode untuk mengukur tingkat risiko ekonomi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan koefisien variasi (cv) dan batas bawah (L). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa petani menghadapi dua jenis sumber risiko, yaitu produksi risiko dan risiko harga. Dalam risiko produksi, terdapat risiko yang disebabkan oleh bentuk perubahan iklim/cuaca, pengaruh faktor produksi, serta hama dan penyakit. Dari segi risiko harga terdapat risiko yang disebabkan oleh fluktuasi harga kacang tanah dan meningkatnya harga input produksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, (cv) produksi sebesar 0,02 dan batas bawah produksi sebesar 93,157 kg, sedangkan risiko harga memiliki (cv) sebesar 0,05 dan batas bawah harga (L) sebesar Rp 20.999. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan perhitungan koefisien variasi (cv) tingkat produksi dan risiko harga yang dihadapi petani kacang tanah di Desa Pancur cenderung rendah karena cv ≤ 0,5. | |||||||||
