Abstract
The advancement of technology and the evolution of digital media have significantly impacted the communication dynamics between radio stations and their listeners. This study aims to investigate the Mediamorphosis process of HOT Radio 88.2 FM, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges presented by the digitalization era. A qualitative case study approach was employed, utilizing Roger Fidler's Mediamorphosis Theory as the theoretical framework. Data collection methods included interviews with four informants, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that HOT Radio 88.2 FM has undergone co-evolution by maintaining terrestrial frequency wave technology to support streaming broadcasts on the website www.radioindonesia.org. The station has achieved media convergence by leveraging the internet for cloud storage and utilizing social media to enrich broadcast formats and expand audience reach. HOT Radio 88.2 FM has also embraced complexity as a form of adaptation to contemporary changes. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that through these three processes, HOT Radio 88.2 FM has effectively undergone mediamorphosis, capitalizing on opportunities and addressing challenges in the digitalization era.
