Abstract

Introduction to geometric shapes in early childhood is an important aspect in their cognitive development. However, low understanding and a lack of interesting learning methods are problems that need to be overcome. This research aims to investigate the influence of Digital Game Based Learning in the introduction of geometric shapes in early childhood at RA Raudhatul Jannah Al-Mustopa Cihideung Pandeglang. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a population of all children aged 5-6 years at the institution. The sample was 30 children divided into an experimental group and a control group. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test to measure children's understanding of the introduction of geometric shapes. The results of data analysis using the t-test show that there is a significant influence of Digital Game Based Learning on understanding the recognition of geometric shapes in early childhood. These findings demonstrate the potential of this learning method as an effective and attractive alternative in the context of early childhood education.
