Abstract

The background to this research comes from a literature review and field investigation, which revealed that educators do not have valid and reliable assessment tools to accurately measure student competency and that the standard for passing assessment tools in identifying competent and incompetent students is low. The objectives of this research are: (1) Developing an Assessment for Vocational Learning (AfVL) in the Air Conditioning Systems and Installation subject majoring in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering at Vocational Schools in Banten Province and (2) Determining the feasibility level of Assessment for Vocational Learning (AfVL) in the Air Conditioning Installation Systems subject majoring in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering at Vocational Schools in Banten Province. This research is a research and development model, with a development model (Borg & Gall, 1983) which has been modified into five stages, namely: (1) research and information gathering, (2) design and design of AfVL, (3) ) trial use of AfVL, (4) Rasch modeling analysis, (5) disseminating and distributing AfVL. The research subjects consisted of 3 experts in the field of Indonesian and 132 students who took the exam. The instruments used in this research were literature study, interviews, questionnaires, AfVL, and photo documentation. The findings of this research indicate the feasibility level of developing AfVL referring to the appropriateness of the question items, students and assessment instruments. Results of evaluation of the feasibility of theory questions at SMKN 1 Tangerang Regency shows that S14 and S23 are "misfit items", S5 is an item that is "biased towards gender", the reliability of the test items is "very good/ special", the assessment instrument is "productive" as a measurement, the assessment instrument has data that can be predicted "logically", Apart from that, the separation of the items was "very good". The results of the person suitability evaluation found students with codes 21LD1, 29LD2, 34PD1, 10PD2, 23LD2, 18LD1, 28PD1, 29PD1, 33PD1, and 35LD1 "person misfit", person measure results = " less than the average item difficulty value", Cronbach's alpha result= "bad", person reliability value= "weak", Outfit MNSQ and Infit MNSQ= person has "ideal" data, Outfit ZSTD and Infit ZSTD= predictable data "logically" and the separation of persons is "fairly good". The results of the evaluation of the suitability of theoretical test items at SMKN 8 Tangerang City show that all questions are "item fit", S15, S16 and S19 items are "biased towards gender", the reliability of the items is "very good/special", the assessment instrument is "productive" as measurement, the assessment instrument has data that can be predicted "logically", apart from that, the separation of test items is "very good". and 25PK2 "person misfit", person measure result = "more than the average item difficulty value", Cronbach's alpha result = "bad", person reliability value = "weak", Outfit MNSQ and Infit MNSQ = person has "ideal" data ”, Outfit ZSTD and Infit ZSTD= “logically” predictable data and “poor” person separation. Riset ini adalah model penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development), dengan model pengembangan (Borg & Gall, 1983) yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi lima tahap, yaitu: (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) desain dan perancangan AfVL, (3) uji coba pemakaian AfVL, (4) analisis Pemodelan Rasch, (5) menyebarluaskan dan mendistribusikan AfVL. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 ahli dibidang Bahasa Indonesia dan 132 peserta didik yang mengikuti ujian. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu studi pustaka, wawancara, angket, AfVL, dan dokumentasi foto. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan pengembangan AfVL merujuk pada kelayakan butir soal, peserta didik, dan instrumen penilaian.
