Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of Gibberellin (GA3) concentration levels and AB mix nutrient on the growth and yield of kailan plants (Brassica oleracea L.) with a wick hydroponic system. The research was conducted from August until September 2023 in Greenhouse at Sukamena Village Cikeusal District and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The experiment used Randomized Blok Design, the first factor is gibberellin concentration which consisted of 3 levels, namely 70 ppm (G1), 100 ppm (G2), 130 ppm (G3), and the second factor is AB mix nutrient concentration which consisted of 3 levels, namely 800 ppm (A1), 1000 ppm (A2), 1200 ppm (A3). The gibberellin (GA3) concentration of 70 ppm (G1) gave results that tended to be better in the parameters of plant height at 35 Days After Planting (22.25 cm), stem diameter (2.22 mm), fresh weight per plant (66.15 g), and shoot dry weight per plant (3.59 g). The AB mix nutrient concentration of 1200 ppm (A3) gave results that tended to be better on plant height parameters of 21 DAP (13.80 cm), 28 DAP (18.61 cm), 35 DAP (23.35 cm), stem diameter (2.40 mm), fresh weight per plant (72.37 g), shoot fresh weight per plant (41.93 g), and shoot dry weight per plant (4.43 g). There was an interaction between the treatment level of gibberellin concentration (GA3) and the nutrient concentration level of the AB mix on the parameters of fresh shoot weight per plant and shoot dry weight per plant.

Additional Information: Tanaman kailan (Brassica oleracea L.) merupakan komoditas hortikultura yang masih sangat awam terdengar di telinga masyarakat Indonesia. Tingginya peluang pasar dan peminat kailan berbanding terbalik dengan kesediaan produk kailan yang masih rendah menjadikan tanaman kailan sebagai salah satu komoditi sayur yang mahal di Indonesia. rendahnya produk kailan juga disebabkan oleh beberapa hambatan antara lain kurangnya penerapan panca usaha tani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat konsentrasi Giberelin (GA3) dan tingkat konsentrasi nutrisi AB mix terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kailan (Brassica oleracea L.) secara hidroponik sistem sumbu (wick system). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan September 2023 di Greenhouse Desa Sukamena Kecamatan Cikeusal dan Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Konsentrasi giberelin (GA3) 70 ppm (G1) memberikan hasil yang cenderung lebih baik pada parameter tinggi tanaman 35 HST (22,25 cm), diameter batang (2,22 mm), berat segar per tanaman (66,15 g), dan berat kering tajuk per tanaman (3,59 g). Konsentrasi nutrisi AB mix 1200 ppm (A3) memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter tinggi tanaman 21 HST (13,80 cm), 28 HST (18,61 cm), 35 HST (23,35 cm), diameter batang (2,40 mm), berat segar per tanaman (72,37 g), berat segar tajuk per tanaman (41,93 g), dan berat kering tajuk per tanaman (4,43 g). Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan tingkat konsentrasi giberelin (GA3) dan tingkat konsentrasi nutrisi AB mix terhadap parameter berat segar tajuk per tanaman dan berat kering tajuk per tanaman.
