Abstract
This reasearsh aims to determine the influence of learning model NHT on the cognitive abilities of students of class VII on students’ cognitive ability on the interaction of organism and its environment concept. The research method used is a quasi experiment with Noquivalent Control Group Design research design. The sample of research was class VII A as experiment class and class VII B as control class. Sampling technique used random sampling. Research instruments using objective tests to determine students' cognitive abilities. Based on the results of statistical tests showed that the number heads together (NHT) approach have the influence of students’ cognitive abilities in VII grade on the concept of interaction of living creatures and the environment in MTs Mathlaul Anwar Bojong.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian yang diambil adalah kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel diambil secara random sampling. Instrumen penelitan menggunakan tes objektif untuk mengetahui kemampuan kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik menunjukan bahwa pendekatan number heads together (NHT) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VII pada konsep interaksi makhluk hidup dan lingkungannya di MTs Mathlaul Anwar Bojong. | |||||||||
