Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out and analyze how Good Government influences Economic Growth in ASEAN Countries. This study uses panel data from 2017 to 2021 in eight ASEAN countries. This research uses a panel regression method (Fixed Effect) with eight countries in ASEAN which are categorized as developing countries. These countries include Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines and Cambodia. The estimation results show that 1) Government Effectiveness and Political Stability and Absence of Violence have a negative and insignificant effect on Economic Growth. 2) Voice and Accountability and Foreign Direct Investment have a positive effect on Economic Growth.

Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa 1) Government Effectiveness dan Political Stability and Absence of Violence berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi. 2) Voice and Accountability dan Foreign Direct Investment berpengaruh positif terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi.
