Abstract

This study aims to describe the environmental literacy profile of high school students as an effort to impact industrial area pollution throught environmental awareness attitudes. The method used was descriptive qualitative through questionnaires distributed to 85 student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that the level of environmental literacy of students was quite good, students had a basic understanding of environmental issues and the impact of industrial pollution, but lacked in the application of real action. The attitude of environmental awareness also evident from their active participation in cleaning, reforest and waste processing programs into valuable products. These effort show that improving environmental literacy can be an effective strategy in tackling the negative impact of industrial pollution. Therefore, it is important for schools to continue strengthening environmental education so that students are increasingly aware and actively contribute to environmental conservation.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan profil literasi lingkungan siswa SMA sebagai upaya mengatasi dampak pencemaran kawasan industri melalui sikap peduli lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 85 siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi lingkungan siswa cukup baik, siswa memiliki pemahaman dasar tentang isu lingkungan dan dampak pencemaran industri, tetapi kurang dalam penerapan tindakan nyata. Sikap peduli lingkungan juga terlihat dari partisipasi aktif mereka dalam program kebersihan, penghijuan dan pengolahan limbah menjadi produk bernilai guna. Upaya ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan literasi lingkungan dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam menanggulangi dampak negatif pencemaran industri. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi sekolah untuk terus memperkuat pendidikan lingkungan agar siswa semakin sadar dan aktif berkontribusi dalam pelestarian lingkungan.
