Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the SICOMO (Searching Information, Communication, and Modeling) learning model on student collaboration skills in biology learning at MAS Nurul Hidayah Bojonegara, which was conducted in October-December 2023. The method used was quasi experiment with post-test only control group design. The population in this study were grade X students of MAS Nurul Hidayah Bojonegara. The sample used in this study was determined by random sampling technique consisting of two classes, namely X IPA 1 as the experimental class, and X IPA 2 class as the control class. The instruments used to collect data in this study consisted of instruments in the form of collaboration skills questionnaires and written tests in the form of multiple choice and learning implementation sheets. The results showed that students' collaboration skills were in the very strong category, namely 90.7% for the experimental class and the control class obtained an average value of 87.3% in the strong category. The results of the hypothesis testing of student collaboration skills using the independent sample t-test test showed a significant 0.006 which means 0.006 <0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of the SICOMO model on the collaboration skills of class X students on virus material at MAS Nurul Hidayah Bojonegara.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SICOMO (Searching Information, Communication, and Modelling) terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada pembelajaran biologi di MAS Nurul Hidayah Bojonegara, yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian post-test only control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MAS Nurul Hidayah Bojonegara. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling yang terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas instrumen berupa angket keterampilan kolaborasi dan tes tertulis berupa pilihan ganda serta lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa masuk dalam kategori sangat kuat yaitu 90,7% untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata 87,3% masuk dalam kategori kuat. Hasil uji hipotesis keterampilan kolaborasi siswa dengan menggunakan uji indenpendent sample test menujukan signifikan 0,006 < 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima, maknanya terdapat pengaruh model SICOMO terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa kelas X pada materi virus di MAS Nurul Hidayah Bojonegara.
