Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine if Cake Application as a learning media improves students' listening comprehension in the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Ciruas. Since a quasi-experimental design was used, this study used a quantitative research methodology. The 62 students in the sample for this study were divided into 31 students in the experiment class and 31 students in the control class. At the first meeting, both classes took a pre-test; at the last meeting, they took the post-test. Both courses received the post-test in order to determine the improvement. By utilizing SPSS 23, the independent sample t-test was utilized to determine the hypothesis testing. The outcome showed how beneficial Cake Application was for students' listening comprehension in SMAN 1 Ciruas' tenth grade. A 2-tailed Independent T-test result at 0.000 that was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.005). As a result, this proves that the alternative theory is correct. This indicates that utilizing the Cake Application can help pupils improve their listening comprehension. As a result, it is possible to conclude that utilizing the Cake Application improves students' listening comprehension in the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Ciruas significantly.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Aplikasi Cake sebagai media pembelajaran meningkatkan pemahaman menyimak siswa di kelas sepuluh SMAN 1 Ciruas. Karena desain kuasi-eksperimental digunakan, penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kuantitatif. 62 siswa dalam sampel untuk penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 31 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 31 siswa di kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan betapa bermanfaatnya Aplikasi Cake bagi pemahaman mendengarkan siswa di kelas sepuluh SMAN 1 Ciruas. Hasil uji-T Independen 2-arah pada 0,000 yang kurang dari 0,05 (0,000<0,005). Hasilnya, ini membuktikan bahwa teori alternatif itu benar. Ini berarti bahwa menggunakan Aplikasi Cake dapat membantu siswa meningkatkan pemahaman mendengarkan mereka. Hasilnya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa memanfaatkan Aplikasi Cake meningkatkan pemahaman mendengarkan siswa di kelas sepuluh SMAN 1 Ciruas secara signifikan.
