Abstract

In the production process of a company, many tasks still heavily involve human labor. At PT. Hasta Prima Industri, human labor remains crucial, particularly in the injection division of production. During product inspections, operators rely more on manual effort than machine assistance. This repetitive and prolonged nature of injection operator tasks contributes to musculoskeletal disorders. From an ergonomic perspective, these repetitive tasks lead to discomfort and potential musculoskeletal issues. To address these concerns, a study was conducted using the NBM questionnaire and the RULA method, along with proposing improvement suggestions. The objective was to measure work posture values using the RULA method before and after implementing improvements and providing recommendations for these issues. NBM results showed the most complaints in the back, waist, and buttocks areas. Using the RULA method for posture identification, the highest score obtained was 6, indicating a need for investigation and immediate change, categorized as moderate discomfort. Therefore, facility design proposals were made, specifically for desk and chair designs tailored to the operators' anthropometric data. Post-implementation of these proposals using the RULA method resulted in a final score of 2, indicating acceptable posture conditions categorized as minimal discomfort.

Additional Information: Proses produksi di sebuah perusahaan masih banyak yang menggunakan atau melibatkan manusia dalam proses pekerjaannya. Di PT. Hasta Prima Industri tenaga manusia masih banyak diperlukan dalam proses produksi. Khususnya pada divisi produksi bagian injection. Saat operator injection melakukan pengecekan terhadap produk jadi masih banyak menggunakan tenaga sendiri dibanding kerja mesin. Pekerjaan operator injection ini dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dan dalam waktu yang lama yang menyebabkan musculoskeletal disorders. Sehingga ketika ditinjau dari sisi ergonomis postur kerja menimbulkan kondisi tidak nyaman dan dapat menyebabkan musculoskeletal disorders. Untuk mengatasi kondisi tersebut dilakukan penelitian menggunakan kuesioner NBM dan metode RULA serta memberikan usulan perbaikan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengukur nilai postur kerja menggunakan metode RULA saat sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan dan memeberikan usulan perbaikan untuk masalah tersebut. Hasil NBM mendapatkan keluhan terbanyak pada punggung, pinggang dan pantat. Untuk hasil identifikasi postur kerja menggunakan metode RULA didapatkan skor terbesar bernilai akhir 6 yang berarti membutuhkan penyelidikan dan segera ada perubahan serta berkategori sedang. Maka dilakukan usulan perancangan fasilitas yaitu usulan perancangan meja dan kursi. Usulan ini menggunakan data antropotmeri yang disesuaikan dengan data antropometri operator. Hasil setelah identifikasi postur kerja menggunakan metode RULA setelah usulan didapatkan nilai akhir 2 yang berarti dapat diterima serta berkategori minimum.
