Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine how students' critical thinking skills in solving math problems in terms of the Myer Brigss Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type. This research is a qualitative research of descriptive analysis type. The subjects of this study were 14 students with different personality types from class XI Science MAN 1 Cilegon City in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Subjects were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data validity technique used in this research is triangulation technique. Data analysis techniques include data description of written test results and interview results, analyzed from the results of written tests and interview results, then drawn conclusions. The results of the discussion can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematics in terms of personality type Myer-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) from 4 personality indicators can be seen that the idealist personality indicator with ENTP personality type and rational personality indicator with ENFP personality type are the best personality types because these two personality types are able to fulfill the five indicators of critical thinking ability according to Angelo. As for the description of other personality types from each personality indicator, idealist personality indicators with INTJ personality type are only able to analyze, INTP personality type subjects are only able to synthesize, and ENTJ personality type subjects are only able to analyze. Rational personality indicators with INFJ personality type are only able to analyze, and ENFJ personality type subjects are also only able to analyze. Guardian personality indicators with ISTJ personality type are only able to synthesize, ISFJ personality type subjects do not fulfill all stages, and ESTJ personality type subjects are only able to analyze. Artisan personality indicators with ISTP personality type are able to think critically until the conclusion stage, ISFP personality type subjects have no stages fulfilled, ESTP personality type subjects are only able to analyze, and ESFP personality type subjects are able to think critically until the conclusion stage.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian Myer Brigss Type Indicator (MBTI). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif berjenis analisis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 14 siswa dengan tipe kepribadian berbeda dari kelas XI MIPA MAN 1 Kota Cilegon pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Pengambilan subjek menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data meliputi, data deskripsi hasil tes tertulis dan hasil wawancara, dianalisis dari hasil tes tertulis dan hasil wawancara, kemudian ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan matematika ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian Myer-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) dari 4 indikator kepribadian dapat dilihat bahwa indikator kepribadian idealist dengan tipe kepribadian ENTP dan indicator kepribadian rational dengan tipe kepribadian ENFP merupakan tipe kepribadian yang paling baik karena dua tipe kepribadian ini mampu memenuhi kelima indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis menurut angelo. Adapun penjabaran tipe kepribadian lainnya dari setiap indikator kepribadian adalah indikator kepribadian idealist dengan tipe kepribadian INTJ hanya mampu menganalisis, subjek tipe kepribadian INTP hanya mampu sampai tahap menyintesis, dan subjek tipe kepribadian ENTJ hanya mampu menganalisis. Indikator kepribadian rational dengan tipe kepribadian INFJ hanya mampu menganalisis, dan subjek tipe kepribadian ENFJ juga hanya mampu menganalis. Indikator kepribadian guardian dengan tipe kepribadian ISTJ hanya mampu sampai tahap menyintesis, subjek tipe kepribadian ISFJ tidak memenuhi semua tahapan, dan subjek tipe kepribadian ESTJ hanya mampu menganalisis. Indikator kepribadian artisan dengan tipe kepribadian ISTP mampu berpikir kritis sampai tahap menyimpulkan, subjek tipe kepribadian ISFP tidak ada tahapan yang terpenuhi, subjek tipe kepribadian ESTP hanya mampu menganalisis, dan subjek tipe kepribadian ESFP mampu berpikir kritis sampai tahap menyimpulkan. | |||||||||
