Abstract

PT. DSS is a company engaged in the provision of electricity and water vapor for the production process of paper making. In the implementation of maintenance loss of maintenance employees work beyond the standard time therefore need to be compatible especially in the case of employees with the duties and workloads received, so it is necessary to calculate Workload to determine the optimal number of employees. The research aims to determine the workload of each job position, determining the optimal number of employee proposals in the maintenance section. The methods used in this research are job description and analysis of workload. Workload analysis is used as a tool to determine the amount of manpower needed. The result of the workload analysis calculation is the workload position of Mechanic engineer 2.067, Position Electric & Instrument Control Engineer 2.514, position diesel engine foreman 1.952, boiler position foreman 2.117, position gas turbine foreman 1.889, position Electric & Instrument Control Foreman 1.897, position mechanic technician 2.164, Position electric technician 2.154. Further, based on the workload, the total number of optimal employees proposed I as many as 13 employees and the number of optimal employees proposed II as many as 21 employees as proposals in the maintenance section of PT. DSS.
