Abstract

Mathematical literacy has an important role in solving student problems in real life. In supporting literacy skills, teachers can use real contexts used in classroom learning. The context of the Kasunyatan Banten Mosque can be used as a context because it is closely related to the environment and students' daily lives. This research aims to produce a mathematical literacy instrument in the context of the Kasunyatan Banten Mosque that is valid, reliable and has a potential impact on student literacy. This research uses a development design with the Plomp model with stages of self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test. The research subjects were students at SMPN 1 Serang City. This research produced 8 mathematical literacy instrument questions in the context of the Kasunyatan Banten Mosque which met the criteria for validity and reliability, and had a potential impact. Instruments designed with context can increase students' mathematical literacy activities. The use of instruments that are appropriate to the context can be a learning resource that strengthens students' introduction to local culture.

Additional Information: Literasi matematis memiliki peran penting dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan siswa di kehidupan nyata. Dalam menunjang keterampilan literasi, guru dapat menggunakan konteks nyata yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Konteks Masjid Kasunyatan Banten dapat digunakan sebagai konteks karena berkaitan erat dengan lingkungan dan kehidupan siswa sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen literasi matematis dengan konteks Masjid Kasunyatan Banten yang valid, reliabel dan memiliki dampak potensial terhadap literasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pengembangan dengan model Plomp dengan tahapan self-evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, dan field test. Subyek penelitiannya adalah siswa di SMPN 1 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 8 soal instrumen literasi matematis dengan konteks Masjid Kasunyatan Banten yang memenuhi kriteria valid serta reliabel, dan memiliki dampak potensial. Instrumen yang dirancang dengan konteks dapat meningkatkan aktivitas literasi matematis siswa. Penggunaan instrumen yang sesuai konteks dapat menjadi sumber belajar yang memperkuat pengenalan budaya lokal siswa.
